What happened at el paso and the manifesto of the perpetrator made me think:
he was crazy and a psychopath obviously (note I don't say racist, that's beyond the point)
guns should be banned but they will not be
taken all this into account it occured to me that US doesn't have a functioning pluralistic democracy. It IS a democracy, sure, but the options are very limited.
The killer obviosuly felt dishenransized (sp?) and not represented in his anti-immigration pro-white views.
There should be a party capable of addressing those concerns. Not the republicans, something more hardcore and stupid.
That means that the US political establishment and regulations should make it hugely more easy for parties to be formed and participate in elections.
That guy's anger would have had a democratic outlet. Would he have done the same if such a party existed? Maybe not.
Europe unfortunately is filled with these sort of parties and some are in coalition governments.
Let there be one in the US and if it amounts to nothing, even better
