You can shoot, stab, and beat other PCs but calling them mean names is too far?

    Jesus.

Listen to the damn video, will you? It honestly sounds like children doing school yard taunting. I bet most of the people involved are 12 to 15 max. Some are clearly younger. This could be a teachable moment, but it won't be, because so many morally crusading left wingers are imbeciles.

Thank you for making my point for me.

The Bethesda spokesperson said Fallout 76 "empowers players to permanently block other players", pointing to the reporting tools on Bethesda.net and the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
There are tens of thousands if not more players and you can perminently block any person you dislike for any reason. In addition any player can simply change servers which is what that one player did anyway. The solution is already there in the game. If you don't engage them then they cannot harm your PC and ig you block them you cannot hear them.

Yes, trolls can be jerks but they are going to be every where in the real world so teaching people to put their big boy pants on and deal with it like an adult is indeed a life skill which should be learned by young people. The while safe space movement just develops weak minded people who are unable to even hear anything they dislike without breaking down into tears. That is not how we want future adults to act so we should be discouraging this type of nonsense.

I clearly pointed out how it’s apples and oranges (thus can’t be a double standard or hypocrisy) in the initial response. You are the one ignoring that argument ... thanks for letting us know why someone would do such a thing

Now I’m just making fun of you.

As for allowing hate speech, it’s obviously bad business for any platform which wants to be mainstream... and can be a legal issue. This is why no one does it. Even Apolyton doesn’t allow harassing someone based on sexuality, race, or gender (pretty homo ... genous here)

Relying on muting other players or leaving to a new server is stupid. It could pose legal problems, and definitely would cause problems in getting promoted or partnerships with other businesses... no one wants to be associated with that ****. And as I already pointed out ... and you ran away from addressing... it makes for ****ty gameplay.

No problem here. The violence is fake, opt in, targetted at the PC, and part of the game. The bigotry is real, not opt in, targeted at the person behind the PC, and not part of the game (in fact against the rules)."

              Done so again...

              ACK!

There should never be any law against "hate speech" as it is all subjubective. Laws should be about facts not feels especially since people constantly lie about feelings.

This is a discussion of actual business practices in a reality where hate speech laws exist. Stop whining about being spanked and accept you were wrong. Bethesda’s actions are perfectly reasonable in this case.

We're not talking about laws, we're talking about businesses, who for obvious reasons need to care about the feelings of their customers.

I don't even play the game so how could have been wrong much less so spanked? I still think it is a massive over reaction and a symbol of what is so wrong with PC culture.

If Asher was still here we could also discuss Mac culture, and how MS/PC is superior.

You posted your whining about a business doing what is economically and legally imperative... and got spanked by reality. For heavens sake, just let it and your embarrassment sink off the front page.

I doubt it was a legal or economic imperative. It was simply an over reaction to children acting like children.

Oh, I understand the arguments well enough. I just reject them as probably not true.
