    The solution I've been seeing for that problem is generally to store the tools and emulate the original environment later. It's being pushed as an important part of reproducibility of results.

          Anybody still play the games this site is based on? Me no. And old game I still play is Doom 2... But different genre.

                      Yeah, it took me awhile before I was visiting the OT routinely. Of course that was back when there was less traffic than the game discussions.
                      It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

                        I came here for SMAC, and get into some MP games as a result.

                        I still play Civ5. Haven't played 6 yet because 5 was initially so bad that I was totally turned off. I ended up playing a MP game with a friend with all the expansions and it was like a different game, so I assume 6 will be terrible for a few more years.

                          I still play 4 and 5 occasionally. I have tried Beyond Earth but keep bouncing.

                          I mostly play rogue-likes when code is compiling or I am in a boring meeting.
