  • Is this the core belief of Atheism?

Is it the core belief of Atheism, that theism makes people do evil? Because every debate always seems to come down to that.

Seems kind of silly right off the bat to insist this to people who don't see this in reality. Atheists: Don't believe in God because it makes you murder people. Non-atheist: Can't I just believe in God and not murder people? Atheists: That's anti-science.

Then there's the argument that believing in God doesn't make you do more good and less evil. The line is "human beings just do good because it makes them feel good." That's so stupid that I think people don't say how stupid it is because they have pity for them. I don't know why. Did Ghandi feel good on his hunger strikes. Did Mother Teresa always feel good taking care of the Lepers? Did Martin Luther King Jr feel good getting all those death threats, so many that many people think that he knew they were going to assassinate him but he kept on anyway. And yeah, you can probably tell me about some atheists that did that kind of thing. Well ok then, but did they feel good. So funny.

    No.

Maybe I should have said political atheism, although I don't know if there are any non-political atheists.

The answer would still be no.

There is one thing that unites Atheists:
They don't think there are some kind of divine supreme beings

          Period

          Everything else is individually different.

Just like, when you say "Theist" this doesn't automatically mean a believer in one of the 3 major religions that have to do with YHWH (i.e. Judaism, Christianity or Islam), but can be any kind of belief in one (or more) supreme being/s (for example Hinduism, Asatru, Zoroastrism or whatever)
Tamsin (Lost Girl): "I am the Harbinger of Death. I arrive on winds of blessed air. Air that you no longer deserve."
Tamsin (Lost Girl): "He has fallen in battle and I must take him to the Einherjar in Valhalla"

Atheism is actually comparable with Hinduism. So is Trumpism (religion).

Sums it up. What you're trying to link to it is just plain silly, So there's nothing really to discuss here.

                The answer stays simply NO.

This is perhaps the saddest thing you've ever said.

Why Aeson? Are you one of those that belief that it's not really moral if you believe that God commands it?

Why must you pretend to know what people think?

Kid, it's because to make such a statement you must not know what it's like to feel good for having done something difficult but worthwhile. Instead you're confused and think that physical comfort is all that matters.

There is a lot of that going around. It seems to be something extremists do.
