Crusaders also usually showed no remorse for killing in the crusades. Same often goes for inquisitors (and other people affiliated with the inquisition). Nevertheless I don't think there is anyone who doubts that they all were christians.
I am sure that you also have lots of US soldiers who self-identify as christians, but show no remorse for killing other people in fulfillment of their duties
