At least in a part of the world women and men now have equal chances in society (something that they didn't have several decades ago ... even my mother in the 1970s still had to ask my father for permission in order to be allowed to work ... just because that was required by law).
Same goes for chances in society of people with a different skin colour / "race" ... not perfect yet, but still better than 50 years ago

Better than 50 years ago, yes - I remember almost that far back personally, and people focus on where we still need growth, which is great - but they do constantly forget how far we've come....

It is a Stalin's constitution of 1936, in particular - article 122, that gave women rights equal to men's in every aspect of a social life for the first time in human history! You may think that it was just a paper and in reality everything worked the other way around, but you are wrong! That worked exactly, as it written at article 122! I remember only late USSR, but I remember it well and I have ancestors to confirm. There was no even a question for all of us that woman is somehow different from a man in her rights.

America is a very young and proud nation which acts like an absolutely bully for the last 27 years, like a pumped-up teenager.
