    • Tractenberg died from liver failure, a transplant she had recently was rejected by her body. I heard a theory on Hackman, he had a heart attack and his wife ran to the bathroom to get his pills and she might have fallen in the panic and hit her head without showing up as a cut or bruise. She might have tripped on the space heater/cord.

Very sad news. A brilliant comic actor. Watching her on Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In was a big part of my youth.
                  May she rest in peace.

                    • By all accounts, a helluva guy. Even with his (several) Emmies as Norm, he was still underrated as an actor (maybe because of all the goofy Da Bears stuff). Hell, he played Edna Turnblatt in Hairspray on Broadway!

RIP, Mr Wendt. I'll lift a glass in your memory!
