Typical christian propaganda... They don't think it should be called marriage and everybody has to go along with them. Just another example of them trying to cram their religion down other people's throats. Their concept of religious freedom is, Christians are free to do what they want, but nobody else is.Keep on Civin'

luckily christian propaganda is ever less effective across the civilised world. perhaps that has something to do with the quality of its proponents.

Propaganda is misleading speech. How is using words correctly misleading? It's not. Clearly those who consistently use words incorrectly are using propaganda, not those who use words correctly.Originally posted by Ming View PostTypical christian propaganda... That has nothing to do with what you said, "... the word was used improperly before..." which is nonsense. Marriage was marriage. Women aren't forced into it, and neither are gays. If you don't want to get married go do your own thing, but use a correct term for what you are doing.Originally posted by giblets View PostIt makes perfect sense. Marriage is a father telling his barely pubescent daughter that she has to let some guy knock her up whether she wants to or not, then she and the baby can die during childbirth. Any attempts to change this is sinful.Originally posted by giblets View PostIt makes perfect sense. The institution of marriage discriminated against gay people. It's morally wrong to exclude gays from marriage. That makes the old usage wrong.Originally posted by Kidicious View PostThat has nothing to do with what you said, "... the word was used improperly before..." which is nonsense. To you it's morally wrong. You probably also think it's wrong to not allow women into certain roles in church, etc.... That's your opinion.Originally posted by giblets View PostIt's morally wrong to exclude gays from marriage. That makes the old usage wrong.I drank beer. I like beer. I still like beer. ...
