If both socialists and Podemos end up at the upper end of their current seat projections, they may form a leftist coalition including some of the minor parties. Thinking here of IU (United Left, Podemos's stone age socialist / green-leaning competitors on the left) and maybe Amaiur (Basque regionalist party, more conciliatory than their secessionist predecessor).

Another regionalist would be CiU from Catalunya who usually end up with a few seats in the Cortes, but their current policy line should make them an undesirable partner even for Podemos, who agree to a referendum for Catalunya, but disagree with the drastic political line of CiU.

Not to mention the current leadership debate within CiU / Catalan government.

People can vote for free money but when lenders won't lend there isn't much governments can do without leaving the currency union. Why am I not surprised some Greeks still have not figured this out? They still aren't liberalize Nguyen their economy and instead they puddle along until they run out of money, do just the minimum demanded, then do nothing until they run out of money again.

If people are that stupid maybe they deserve what they get.

Long story short, minimum winning coalition seems to be PP + PSOE.

              Good.
It seems they are on the second phase of the greek drama.
They still believe the established parties can help them.
Hopefully PP and PSOE will from a coalition giving to rest any lingering illussions about them being any different.

In the 3rd phase PODEMOS trumphs.

And in the fourth the future of the EU is decided

However, why would the "will of the people" offend you?

If there is a disrepancy between majority public wants and current representation shouldn't it be addressed in the polls and out in a new government?

Is franco wearing a wig and calling itself angela now?

Also my hand made selection of clips in the beggining was funny.

Thing is, schoible tried to crush syriza to the ground to avoid a podemos appeance in the parliement.

He failed because their biggest ally is not syriza, but reality.

Like in portugal. (and in spain and in many other countries. not counting poland and hungary that have gone west. sorry i mean right. sorry i mean far right.

                      marvellous! an anti-anti-corruption coalition.

(i predicted this in one of the greece threads )

though in fact, the bbc are reporting this very differently with podemos only on 12.6%; let's see what happens.

Anyway, the party Paiktis liked finished a very distant third while the socialists did better than expected.
