Civ 6 coming by next summer?

I wonder what the stats on % of people who bought the expansion were. I bought the Civ4 expansion because the game was good, I bought Civ 5 because I hoped it would be even better, but I didn't buy the expansion because I was so pissed with having bought Civ 5.

At least I can say that I didn't pay for V. It cost me only time to find out it sucked.

The reason why strategy games became more and more watered down ...
when computer games became more and more mainstream, publishers saw it as a good idea to widen the market by making computer games simpler, so that the less intelligent among the populations might get interested in them as well (instead of just the geeks).
(fortunately there are still games like Dwarf Fortress around )

Gee... I was kind of hoping for a real discussion of Civ VI. But I guess some people don't want that.

It is kinda hard to get someones hope up. Their latest track record was patchy at best.

Starship was underwhelming, V was for the most part meh and the BE Disaster...well from whats been Seen in those free weekends most of you did not Miss much. Producing an Expansion for that thing seems like an unwise business Decision (not familiar with Software dev cycles, perhaps they startete it before the BE Release?)

Looking forward to playing XCOM 2 though :-)

All I know is that I won't volunteer to be a tester this time around.
It really sucked to be disgusted with the game before it even was released.

I would say I hope they learned something from V but I'm betting that they're sitting there thinking, Gee after all the revisions it turned out to be a great game so we should just build on that experience. DOH
