You are correct. She isnm't right or wrong based on "what people think," but on her adherence to her oath of office. Since she refuses to adhere to her oath, the only right thing for her to do is resign. She, however, refuses to do that, insisting that her "God-given" (so she claims) right to bigotry trumps the oath she took. There isn't a single reasonable argument to be made that she is behaving ethically.
