Not to men, at least! Women to women share a lot more and boy, some can brag! I have gone to some of those women only Erotic Sales pitch parties. It is amazing to hear what is said once the oldest seemingly feeble little old lady loosens up and begins to brag!

I'm sure some hard-hitting journalists are combing through the list for interesting names. The only one I've seen posted so far is Josh "19 Kids and Counting" Duggar. Yeah, same married, family-values guy who molested family members. He appears to have had two accounts at Ashley Madison, and apparently he's on OKCupid as well. Seems like he's pretty scummy on the regular.

Another interesting aspect of this ordeal was posted by the economic policy journal. According to marketwatch, who has been perusing the data; financial institutions have also been caught up in this ordeal, leading the pack is Wells Fargo.

On a side note, Ashley Madison did not use an e-mail verification system, so it can be taken with a grain of salt that some of the addresses may be a false link.

The daily mail reported that the Vatican and UN e-mail accounts are associated with the data dump as well, including members of the British government.

The names, ages, addresses, phone numbers and credit card details of up to 37million users including 1.2million in the UK were revealed in a 9.7 gigabyte file called 'Time's Up!' posted on the dark web.
Bankers, civil servants, UN peacekeepers and even Vatican employees have been outed by hackers from the Impact Team because they are considered 'cheating dirtbags'.

It'll be interesting to see how this pans out or if it's brushed under the rug. If anything at all, it could be used to blackmail a lot of people in high up places; that is if it turns out the e-mail addresses are correct, in my opinion, some may be fake, but most are not.

It would be way too easy for the hackers to have added fake data. I wouldn't trust any of it.

Sadly there will be lives ruined over this, and it's almost certain that at least some of them will be innocent. The hackers are worse than the people (even the actually guilty ones) they are trying to out.

Numbers don't lie. After hackers released the information of millions of Ashley Madison users last week, Gizmodo editor-in-chief Annalee Newitz took a detailed look at the leaked data, and concluded that most of the accounts were fake.

The official numbers from the site showed that 31 million of the accounts belonged to men while 5 million supposedly were linked to females. However, Newitz took a deeper dive into the landscape of Ashley Madison and found that a whopping 10,000 accounts were created with the Ashleymadison.com email, implying that they were test subscriptions. Nine thousand of those 10,000 belonged to women, while the remaining numbers were either categorized as male or no gender specified...
The article goes on to say that under 1,500 women ever checked their messages, 2,400 women used the 'chat' function (compared to 11 million men), and under 10,000 women ever used the 'reply_mail_last_time' function compared to about 6 million men.

The article makes an interesting read.

Bad move. The hackers did no one a favour.

I was cheated in my marriage. WAs not a nice thing.

HOWEVER, this one, now with all the data dumped, leads to real criminals getting all excited about the opportunity to extort people. So there is that. And what about the gay people in countries where they might be killed because of it? There are actually people wanting to expose that. That actually helps ISIS, who in turn executes gay people and goes through their phones as it is. This is a gold mine for them. This is FUBAR and the hackers probably did not consider this, but it happened regardless.

Well, first you have to host a file that size--about 40 million entries

Still a better ratio of male:female than Apolyton
