    Definitely look into it!
If you have adequate sun you can power nearly everything for free (minus the initial investment) except energy heavy things like airconditions just by the solar panels
(as an added bonus to free energy you also don't mess up the environment more)

There are plenty of farms and cattle stations, here in Australia, that are "off the grid" due to their remote locations. They have a generator to generate electricity and a pump or windmill for artesian water.

I assume there are farms and ranchs far rom the nearest town in USA who would need an independent power and water supply?

I lived some 250 miles from the nearest town for a while. That was before the internet, in the 1980's.

Does satellite internet access count as part of the grid?

I was flying back from San Diego several years ago and it was a night flight. While flying over the desert, there was one lone house all lit up in the middle of no where. It appeared to many, many miles from anything else. I am betting they had their own power source.

Sadly, I got banned from that one for trolling. It turns out "a mental health examine" is not an acceptable anwser to the question of "What to get a prepper who has everything?"

Despite their denials they know they are nuttier than squirrel poo and are quite sensative about the topic.

Then I guess Hardman would not be welcome among the Peppers?
To The Hijack Police: I don't know what you are talking about. I didn't do it. I wasn't there. I don't even own a computer.

Of course. Why would you prep when the cops are always only 30 seconds away.

So, Sava lives next to a donut shop?

Doesn't damn near everyone live near a donut shop

I don't think there's a connection between eating donuts and murdering black people.
