Lots of people who are obese have a disorder, much the same as gambling or alcohol addiction. Once they reach that point, no there isn't any point in just making them feel bad about themselves, they need help and support. By labelling it a disease however and saying there's no choice in the matter, you're discouraging people from avoiding the problem in the first place. You're telling parents that its not their fault when their kids wind up obese because of the horrific diets they feed to them.

People don't end up with obesity related eating disorders without having access to foods that create obesity, and kids in particular have terrible impulse control. It's equivalent to giving your kids half a bottle of scotch a night, and then when they become alcoholics saying that no-one is to blame. Sure you can put a lot of the blame onto society that allows the marketing of unhealthy foods, but parents have a lot of control and its about time they started using that in a way that helps their children instead of contributing to their harm.
You don't get it. This isn't a debate. You hold a repugnant view and are getting **** thrown at you. 100% justifiable. Don't want to be attacked? Don't believe in stupid bull****.

Interesting, grib, that you use the qualifier "morbid". That's not a medical term. You just hate fat people.

Furthermore, anyone on the far end of the curve most likely has a medical issue. So go ahead and make fun of the fattest fatties.

It just makes you look like an even bigger piece of human filth.

"Morbid obesity" is a medical term. Google it, you ignorant ****. Go **** yourself. It's not hateful to discourage self harm and believe in the laws of thermodynamics. All obese people have a medical issue that can be treated by switching to a normal diet. If you deny this, you deny reality.

It's really disgusting that you're trying to slander people who happen to think that eating 3000-4000 calories a day is a choice. It is a choice. Fat people have a problem that is really relatively trivial to solve. Why should I feel sorry for them?

It's not moronic to believe some people have poor self control.

Relying on that premise as a basis for solving the obesity problem... is

And you are even more of a fucling dumbass piece of **** for doing so.

                    From the sea. doh!
But I had to search it

But I meant mineral salt. Like the hymalayan stuff.
So the white salt stuff you buy at the supermarket is mineral I think and of the low quality. Then you have sea salt (or rock salt) which is great and the (real) hymalayan which is greater? I think so.

BTW why do they call sea salt, rock salt. It's stooopid. It's from the sea not from some rock. They should call sea salt sea salt and mineral salt rock salt so there's no confusion.

I don't care if adults choose to be fat as long as they don't expect society to pretend it's somehow beyond their control or subsidize them. Obese people shouldn't be eligible for food stamps.

I'm not obsessed with "solving" obesity. I just don't like it when people make stupid claims like "corn subsidies make people fat and fat shaming has no effect on obesity".

On one hand, crappy food is cheap, easily accessible, and packed with sugar and calories that it actually requires more effort to not over eat in America. Plus, we have a plethora of sedentary activities that often compete and win-out against the more active ones. It's not easy to lose weight and keep it off.

On the other hand, fat people are gross.

You should force yourself to stop finding them gross. If you don't date fat people you're shallow.
