I thought you were a catholic priest
Any views I may express here are personal and certainly do not in any way reflect the views of my employer. Tis the rising of the moon..

Look, I just don't anymore, okay?

I watched a lot of Lost recently (first 5 seasons down ... just one more to go). Echo became a Priest by killing a Priest so his brother wouldn't have to, then bribing/threatening his brother, then getting his brother killed while smuggling heroin. While this is a pretty low bar to clear, I don't think I'd want to do any of that.

I sort of like the idea of being a Monk better.

The no sex thing would be a deal breaker.

Well, I guess male friendships with benefits between priests are O.K. with the catholic church ...
they just have a problem with relationships between men and women

The celibacy rule always struck me as very stupid.

AFAIK the celibacy rules were put in place so that Bishoprics et al wouldn't become hereditary positions - if you were a naughty bishop with a bunch of illegitimate kids then that was winked at so long as you were fine with your illegitimate kids not being able to inherit your title

It's a signal that someone is fanatically devoted to the church and doesn't think for themselves.

I voted nun of the above. I suspect the odds of me becoming a Christian of any type is about the same as me becoming a woman, so not in this lifetime.
