I watched a lot of Lost recently (first 5 seasons down ... just one more to go). Echo became a Priest by killing a Priest so his brother wouldn't have to, then bribing/threatening his brother, then getting his brother killed while smuggling heroin. While this is a pretty low bar to clear, I don't think I'd want to do any of that.Comment

AFAIK the celibacy rules were put in place so that Bishoprics et al wouldn't become hereditary positions - if you were a naughty bishop with a bunch of illegitimate kids then that was winked at so long as you were fine with your illegitimate kids not being able to inherit your title<p style="font-size:1024px">HTML is disabled in signatures </p>Comment
