It is a consistent inconsistency. Intolerance matters only if directed at the Muslims. Since they are children, they are not responsible for their own intolerance.

This is a pattern I've noticed as well--that in a sense, the arab world isn't responsible for what it does, we made them what they are, and they can't be held accountable for their actions. It's patronizing.
If there is no sound in space, how come you can hear the lasers? ){ :|:& };:
You're right that my language was too strong, but there's a context here of Kentonio calling me some fairly nasty things as well (mostly along the lines of being some overprivileged whatever who wants the poor to all starve in the street and die of exposure)
Plus I think Kentonio knows that I don't actually dislike him (on the contrary), I just don't like his opinions

Yes there's certainly no difference between how we should expect small countries to react to overt aggression and the expectations we place on vast countries that until recently were classed as a superpower. As Russia have shown, if they chose to launch an offensive near their own borders there is very little the west can do about it without pushing the world to the brink of nuclear destruction. What exactly do you think would happen to Iran if they had for instance militarily attacked the US during the war in Iraq that utterly destabilized their region, sent hundreds of thousands of refugees flooding over their borders, and caused huge threats to their borders and internal stability?
What pisses me off quite frankly is that pointing out that other countries have a right to feel threatened and damaged by western actions is met by a chorus of 'oh so you love terrorists then!' by people who really should know better. It doesn't take a genius to realize that suicide bombings are wrong, but it also shouldn't take one to realize that starting a war that results in hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqis, totally destabilizes not only Iraq but the whole region, and finishes with the smoking mess of Iraq basically left to sort itself out is going to have vast consequences.
The children in this discussion are the ones who manage to look past the quarter of a million dead Iraqis yet start quivering with outrage when a handful of people get killed in a terrorist attack. How about you start showing some outrage over all of it, and then we can have a real discussion?

You are an over-privileged rich kid who hasn't spent enough time with the poor to understand that your beliefs have little basis in reality. *******.
Had to laugh at this snippet from an article about the CIA director talking about Iran..
Even without a deal, Brennan said, the U.S. would continue to pressure Iran on a host of other issues, from its alleged backing of terrorist organizations to potential efforts to meddle in the affairs of other nations in the Middle East.

it's hard to see how they keep a straight face, but they do. just look at this thread, we have people earnestly complaining about iranian action in iraq and afghanistan, as if that were the problem.

your first sentence is an unsupported and incorrect assertion and your second is a non-sequitur.
you're not very good at this whole 'debating' thing, are you.
The first sentence is an opening declarative statement, supporting the previous statement of another. Any support would be for the previous comments, see the second sentence. Do I need to parse out why this relates to Iran vs Israel? Your first almost sentence contains two factual errors and a logical error. Your second sentence fragment is an an unsupported personal opinion, which looks silly in context.
Leaving aside things like grammar and punctuation you are not very good at this whole reading and writing thing.
HC was referring to the USA when he said 'us'. please learn some basic reading comprehension and the definition of non-sequitur. there's nothing wrong with either of my sentences. please learn about basic english grammar and syntax.
also:
The first sentence is an opening declarative statement,
and:
Your second sentence fragment is an an unsupported personal opinion
are exactly the same. you assert that HC is correct and i assert that you're not very good at debating; they're both personal opinions, though you are doing your best to provide evidence for mine.
also 'an an' is not possible in english.
BTW I judge debate.

I think the most significant thing to come out of this is that we now know that Bibi is dead set against a 2 state Palestinian solution. We also know that a significant number of Israelis feel the same way. If we feel that the only real chance for peace is a 2 state Palestinian solution, we will have to modify our views/actions accordingly.
