  • Bibi won!

Bibi won the election! I think he's the kind of leader Israel needs now that ISIS and Iran is on the rise. Troubled times for the Middle East. A firm leader is needed. I think Bibi will be just that.

Have you guys followed the election?

****ing ******* of a PM, the Devil himself continues to reigns in Israel if true - but they are still reporting its too close to call.

BTW imran, it's not "too close to call" really I think, Netanyahu won't win a majority, the question is really whether he can form a government

Everyone is saying Likud and Zionist Union are neck and neck. But yes, it is about coalition partners...

If they tie, pretty sure Netanyahu wins, particularly since there's basically 0 chance Yisrael Beteinu will coalition with labor and he can probably pull in Shas and similar ultra-orthodox parties.

Netanyahu ditched Shas in order to expand the draft.

Pretty clear the speech in front of Congress wasn't very wise at this point. That said it's pretty god damn amazing how long he's been PM. This is what, his fourth term? (non-consecutive)

He said he might let them out of the draft again now that that moderate party is gone (name is escaping me at the moment). Booo

                Oh well.

Exactly. ZU needed to win by more than two or three. That appears sunk.

Why do you say that? Given the closing rush, it looks like exactly what he needed.

My condolences to the israeli people, if Netanyahu and his party indeed have won

If true, yet more American taxpayer money has been wasted by the Obama Admin.

Are you talking about the state department funding anti-Likud activists in Israel? Cause that's wasted (and ****ing corrupt as hell) whether they win or lose.

I invite his supporters to send their own kids to the next war

Um, what the **** are you talking about Berzerker? Bibi wasn't even PM of Israel when we went to war in Iraq. Plus, everyone in Israel has to join the military anyway, and the dude was a ****ing special forces operative, so even if he had, he still would have his money where his mouth is.

He was finance minister at the time, a totally domestic post, and Israel was not really involved in our decision to invade Iraq anyway.
