Put to you this way, which may be easier to consider. After Proposition 8 in California, a lot of LGBT advocates wanted to retaliate against people who gave money to Prop8. In fact there were businesses who did as well. Do you believe that businesses are not being honest in their advertising if they do not disclose that they gave money to Prop8? I'm sure there are likely people who want to know what businesses gave money to the proposition and wouldn't want to support them.

Okay, I would not agree with forcing businesses to publicly disclose that they supported the Proposition 8 campaign.

But once it is made known, either through the business's voluntary disclosure on its own, or through muckraking or some other means, I would have no problem with people organizing an effective boycott of that business. Boycotting can be a means to an end to a cause for justice, equality, or civil rights. For example, blacks who rode segregate buses during the Civil Rights movement of 1950s and 1960s, organized a boycott of their city buses to protest racial segregation.
