freedom is the absence of coercion or constraint, murder is a constraint therefore murder is not a religious freedom

      • I also saw that Arkansas is considering something similar... Apple has already spoken out about both that and Indiana.

No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

            • consumers should pressure businesses into pressuring legislatures to behave. I remember a boycott of Idaho potatoes over an abortion law and the boycott won.

but wrt the subject it does seem like businesses are false advertizing if they ask people to stop by only to tell them gtfo

                    • What would happen, if a religious person decides to deny veterans any customer service because war goes against their belief in non-violence?

Anti-LGBT bills like this, under the guise of "religious liberty" could open a whole new can of worms, and play out in ways that Christian right-wingers did not think of.

Has such a thing happened? Before positing an idiotic hypothetical, it would probably behoove you to remember that the law in Indiana is based on a federal law and exists in other states as well.

Why don't you tell me something that I do not know? Yes, I'm aware of other states that have passed anti-LGBT laws, and yes, I'm aware of the federal law that this is based on.

Does not change the fact that these bigotry-motivated "religious liberty" laws need to be repealed, or thrown out in court rulings.

I would feel the same way about it. Some people would be outraged but that doesn't change the principle.

It was the basis for the ruling in the Hobby Lobby case. It doesn't look like a law the Court is interested in throwing out.
