  • re: Dany marriage. Khal Drogo is a counter-argument.

I could see her be like a Queen Elizabeth I sort (if she wins in the end). Not willing to share her throne or play in those dynastic games, but rather she'll name her heir.

        • I think GRRM has basically confirmed it. I may be wrong, but I thought I read it somewhere.

          • There have apparently been 136 threads on that particular topic on the Westeros forums. The 136th thread is still going strong at a couple hundred posts and no one there seems to have said, "GRRM confirmed it; we can stop talking about it now."

With regard to the news broadcast v. IMDB issue, every single article i remember reading cited the change in IMDB. I'm also reasonably sure there was a thread here about it as well, but i'm too lazy to find it.

Willfully obtuse? Being cute? I'm puzzles by this response. I'm not playing games. I asked a honest question. My being polite is just in my nature. When you see me post, you mostly get what you see. Easy as that.

He said readers have guessed one of the big secret plot lines and that he debated changing it or not but decided that the hints were put there to be found so he just wanted to go ahead with it. He refused to say exactly which secret the readers had correctly guessed though.

                • This is the danger of taking decades to finish a book series. Readers have plenty of time to work things out and hunt for clues.

                        • While I slightly agree with you there, I think part of it is the role. That style is something I would expect when we're talking about a pimp, no matter how high end pimp he is.

And I've been re-watching them with the wife too. She's watched before but could never keep track. She thinks the binge watching helps because she has paid more attention and doesn't forget as much.

I've noticed a few things i didn't catch the first time, but not many. It does indeed increase the anticipation level,

There's nothing like ending a sentence with a comma to increase the anticipation level.
