For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

Electing Chris Christie would be the equivalent of having Richard J. Daley as POTUS.

Not that our government isn't already bought and paid for by special interests, and not saying he would do a bad job, but still...

Christie might be the least horrible GOP option. He strikes me as a very pragmatic guy. Also, being bought and paid isn't necessarily terrible.

I'm more concerned about the hardcore ideologues (in both parties).

              Well isn't this special...

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker on Wednesday declined to answer whether he believes in evolution.
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Expect reg collider to chime in on how it doesn't matter if a presidential candidate thinks the grand canyon was created by a global flood.

Hey. Whatever it takes to lower workers' wages and the American standard of living. Gotta pull out all the stops if we're going to continue to crush the middle class.

A Pew Research Center poll last year found that 43 percent of Republicans believe humans have evolved over time, while 48 percent do not. The percentage of Republican voters who believe in evolution has dropped 11 points in four years, according to the survey.

Yes. Lots of people are stupid and have weak principles that are easily manipulated. While you yourself may be educated enough to not fall victim to such manipulation, there are certainly many people who accept evolution who could easily answer oppositely in the aftermath of being kicked up into a religious fervor by some idiot talking head.

Not defending it, just explaining. You seem legitimately surprised.

11 points in 4 years is actually quite a large number when you consider it involves people changing what seemingly was intractable beliefs.

Hm, I think this might depend on how the question was worded. I know people who basically believe in evolution in all but name, but then they muck it up with this other weird mystical **** and then say they don't really believe in it.
