It's amazing how all those former Soviet countries keep wanting closer ties with the west and are afraid of Russia. You'd think it'd be the other way around given how evil and fascist we all are, and how amazing and super good and awesome Russia is.

USA, UK, France and other parties voted against a ceasefire deal in Syria, Aleppo. This time, given that this proporsal was Russian, noone whines how evil USA, UK, France and others are and how they abuse their UN security council powers. Magic.Knowledge is Power

in fairness, both sides violated the last ceasefire."The Christian way has not been tried and found wanting, it has been found to be hard and left untried" - GK Chesterton.

Magic. For there is [another] kind of violence, slower but just as deadly, destructive as the shot or the bomb in the night. This is the violence of institutions -- indifference, inaction, and decay. This is the violence that afflicts the poor, that poisons relations between men because their skin has different colors. - Bobby Kennedy (Mindless Menance of Violence)

No they don't. The Poles ****ing hate them, and despite the likes of Hungary heading more and more authoritarian, they aren't big fans of the Russians either. The Baltic states loathe and fear Russia in the same huge quantities, so who exactly is it that's wishing they could go back to the old ways?
Poles, that are indeed sliding on authoritariarism, hate two peoples strongly and equally: germans and russians.
In the batlics all ideologies are superceded by the fear of Russia that is, according to her, only responding.
That complete lack of autonomy and self confidence has resulted in their massacre by the free markets (also known as capitalist pigdogs) and the shortcomings of the european single currency.
Most others, hungary, bulgaria, romania, hell slovakia, etc etc are missing the good old times and their trust to the "west" is zero

Poles' hatred and the baltics too.
That leaves us indiferent.
We do not partake in the anti-russian hysteria apart for the laughing factor.
We have no reason to.
