There are more people posting with the account from 20-th century than not. I used to have one before this, as well but lost it somewhere in the early days.

Any views I may express here are personal and certainly do not in any way reflect the views of my employer. Tis the rising of the moon..

But you're the only one who posts regularly.

I know there are lots of posters here who joined around 2000 or 2001, but 1998 was a special time. The forum was really bustling then.

I'm seeing lots of 2000-2002, which I concede is still an extraordinarily long time to be on an Internet forum. But very few from "1969/1970". Also, very few recent posters, but I'm guessing nobody really plays Civilization anymore.

It would be interesting to see a poll of Fox News audience on how many still think this claim about Birmingham is a fact.
Given that so many Fox News viewer still think that Sadam did 9/11 and that WMD were found in Iraq because Fox told them that was true... Well, I'd bet most of them still believe this too.

Most of them got lives and stopped playing nerdy video games.

I started visiting the site shortly after Civ 2 came out, before it merged with the Greek site, when it was still the Ultimate Civilization Site.

I remember that site, MarkG ran it right? Vaguely remember you but don't think we interacted much. In the early days there were so many posters here. Probably 100 or so regulars.

I remember scouring through the Civ2 modpack and scenario databases, trying virtually every file in there.

                          Not everyone.

Some of us would still be playing Civ if the last title didn't suck serious balls.

Civ 5 with all the expansions is pretty decent.

Now if only my computer wasn't about to die :-/

                              Agree.

But still, even Civ 5 was a step backwards in the series. I say this as a Civ 5 fan.

Yes there are people here who joined earlier than old Horsie, Colon was very early and still drops in when he runs out of chocolate.
