I don't disagree with the intention of ending the embargo. I disagree with ending it as a reward to a government for taking American hostages. It seems like the surest way to encourage more of the same in other similar regimes.

They key point is that in 50 years the embargo has not managed to bring down the Castro regime, but free markets have a decent chance of doing so on their own, while making peoples' lives better.
