UK should probably get an increase of their share to pay into EU budget because it is the only country with a non retarded monetary policy and thanks to that a decent growth of the economy.
The rest of EU is doing an agonizing suicide attempt that is in it's six year with no prospects for ending.

I'm just loving the fact that it's only the Mafia and the prostitutes that saved Italy from recession in the last quarter.

The Guardian is easily as or more left wing than Huffington Post but it's much more serious, with less retarded celebrity gossip and other dumb ****.

I'm under no ambivalence that neo-liberal policies are very destructive to societal cohesion and are to be fought against nail and tooth.

That said, wether it's social democratic policies you have or whether they are neoliberal, corruption and nepotism won't do neither any favor.

It really is cheeky to demand a cut illegal black market stuff especially since the UK government doesn't get a cut itself since it is all illegal. Second how do they even estimate the size of the underground economy with any accuracy give that it is all illegal off the books stuff involving crime? This seems like a blatant money grab.

Try to move beyond your usual one liners and actually meaningfully contribute to the conversation for a change. You can begin with helling us understand how they even think they can reliably estimate the size of illegal black markets?

It's not my job to do that because this whole story seems stupid. The "Duh" remark was due to you saying something incredibly obvious. It IS a money grab.

Ok, at least he finally posted more than a one liner but I guess we still have to work on the whole actually contributing to the conversation thing.

it is, and one which shows a remarkable lack of political awareness by the EU. at a time when eurosceptic feeling is rising across the continent, they've come up with this modification, based on some shaky (or at the very least, easily criticised) criteria, which will please almost no one, annoy a great many, and give ammunition to every eurosceptic politician.

in a touch of farce greece - yes, the same greece that has received a large EU 'aid' package - is being asked to pay more, while germany will get a rebate.
