The first of my family in Virginia was a cabin boy on Christopher Newport's expedition of 1607. He, like most of the cabin boys, elected to stay behind and search for gold when the two main ships returned to England. The colonists were ill-equipped to feed themselves, many died that winter. We now know that the survivors resorted to canabalism to stay alive. When the relief ships returned the next year he returned to England. He was the only cabin boy to survive that winter. He almost assuredly snacked on his mates: "tasty" Tommie, "suculent" Sam, "delectable" Danny.

"Totally! I got your back, man!"“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

I'm also habituated to eating offal and consuming blood- cooked usually, but I'll have it neat if necessary.
