It's the exact same thing. I just dumbed it down enough you could understand it. You're welcome

although i note that you don't say how much is actually paid for by ad revenue, which suggests you don't know, and this clearly limits the usefulness of the discussion. but let's imagine there was some shortfall, we are wealthy and we all want pleasant public spaces, so it doesn't take a lot of imagination to see how this could be achieved with the application of society's resources.
I suspect it's rather high in some areas, low in others. I myself make a good living off of very small areas of ad space that have questionable commercial value. Certainly enough to build and maintain several bus stops with. I would be very surprised if a poster sized ad in a commercial district wasn't worth more than a 728x90 banner ad on a Facebook gaming website per impression.

You of course missed the entire point, which is X + ad revenue > X. You just want to increase X ... but fail to realize if we could do that we already would have.

The shortfall of the public spaces which no longer get advertising revenue from selling ad space.

                  • I have no alter, want no altar and worship at some elses. Try again.

I used to smoke but grew up. Had no choice and am glad now. Lori, I've been stoned.

maybe they should get real jobs then

Public spaces should be 100% completely advertisement-free.

this is an improvement on your previous statement, and actually gives us something to work with. although i note that you don't say how much is actually paid for by ad revenue, which suggests you don't know, and this clearly limits the usefulness of the discussion. but let's imagine there was some shortfall, we are wealthy and we all want pleasant public spaces, so it doesn't take a lot of imagination to see how this could be achieved with the application of society's resources.
                            I want something, WAAHHH!
I know, we should tax rich people to pay for what I want.

                            Who are rich people?

Anyone who has more money than me!

I didn't move out until I was 22, and I don't want to have to impose on my family anymore. To me, moving back in would just cement the idea that I'm basically a total failure who's incapable of living an adult life.
I stayed at my parents' house over the winter 2 years ago after I sold my business (to pay for a surgery) and had to build a new one. That one didn't take, and when I said **** it and came back over here I had close to nothing. Built another business while I was over here and ... third times the charm.

(Well, maybe a few more times than 3)

Do what you need to do to be successful. Family can help a lot. Ego rarely does, unless you have some real good reason for having the ego (and then you're usually better off without the ego still).
