For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

Stop worshipping the govt. Just because you haven't done something doesn't mean others haven't.

So you agree that he meant it when he said:

Of course he meant what he said. What he meant however is just nothing like the fabrication you and many fellow conservatives concocted. All you had to do was listen to the paragraph in its entirety to know that.

              • Oh, that's easy. When you're presented with conflicting information, disregard the information that doesn't conform to your expectations. That's much easier than weaving some sort of tangled synthesis that more accurately represents the complex world we live in.

Are you really? That's odd, because previously you've always appeared to understand basic English.

Well square the circle for me. We have two different points being made here: 1) If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. and 2) The point is, is that when we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative, ...

They appear to be incompatible points but I would be willing to have my mind blown as to how they are actually compatible and complimentary.

                    • Let's try removing all roads within 100 miles of where you live. Now please tell us more about how you built that successful taxi company purely on your own without any help from the government.

The "that" in "You didn't build that" applies to "this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive" referenced seconds earlier in the speech. Context is important. You won't believe this, however, because you "disregard the information that doesn't conform to your expectations."

Ok, we don't owe the govt. We've already paid the govt. We all paid for the roads, rich and poor alike. And we all benefit from the roads, rich and poor alike. So we don't owe the govt a damn thing for building the roads.

Context doesn't matter if ignoring it makes Obama look bad.

Does that mean that you don't understand that he's claiming a debt exists? NO DEBT EXISTS!
