They were chewy nerds called "Dweebs". Liked them better than nerds.

Now that you mention it Sava, I remember that too.

I'd assume there were also "eggheads".

          That sounds familiar

YES. God. There's even an option for it when you start the game. After you pick your civ and leader just set the world wrap to "toroidal."

Not everyone plays civ, apparently. Maybe we can draw the donut-curious here with this thread and keep them with our friendly off-topic vibrant on-topic bot and spam free environment hideously addictive, psychologically damaging community.

Neat game, but the 2 AU barrier kinda limits you. (Yes, I know, because it's a game more than a simulator.)

It is really hard to make a stable system with lots of heavy planets.

Also I notice that the initial earth like planet that you start with is the hardest to get into some stable orbit. I played around for about 20 min.

I guess the wise and all knowing Google knows that Lori likes donuts.

I've been making a crude solar system simulator in Java the past few days (for entirely unrelated reasons). It's more a baby solar system simulator, because I've got a bunch of masses all moving in different directions with the ability to hit each other and clump together. Planets get ejected a lot, but I usually do end up with a few planets in regular orbits if I wait long enough. (I have no idea how realistic my simulation is... probably not very.)

Is there a way to change orbital direction?

This is exactly what God was saying on some super-dimensional version of Apolyton 6000 years ago ...
