You really should get out more. There is a whole world out there and it might not be what you imagine.

Go to far away lands, meet interesting people,...and kill them.

****ing retardation, and oh look, Oerdin thanks you for it.

The trend is actually towards a political shakeup. Americans get their news and information from a broader array of sources than ever before, gerrymandering reform is gaining ground even in Oerdin's homestate, and the percentage of GDP spent on elections is well below its 19th century peak. But feel free to act like an expert on the politics of a country you don't even live in.

In Dinner's case, he propagandized them to death (or surrender, whichever came first).
“It is no use trying to 'see through' first principles. If you see through everything, then everything is transparent. But a wholly transparent world is an invisible world. To 'see through' all things is the same as not to see.”

It worked too. To help persuade them I also spent liberally on the local economy so that stores were happy to see me even if they didn't like America in general. Everyone likes a good customer.

Another bonus to being in Psyop was that we were able to eat at local restaurants where as the rest of the army (outside of USASOC) couldn't. They had to keep eating only what the chow hall offered or be happy with MREs while we got to try different places every day. It was a nice perk.

Your blog from back then was nothing short of amazing. I could not wait to read the next entry and feared for your fate every time a couple of days passed with no entries.

                Yes it was.

That reminds me -- what was a geologist doing in psyops instead of engineers?
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

Good point Felch, moneyed interests have been rallying to screw over everyone else for a long time, as the article you linked to about 1896 shows

"The influence of money in politics is to be ignored because, in 1896, William Jennings Bryan wanted to switch the dollar from gold to silver. That upset banks. They spent a lot of money to defeat him. But don't worry, banks don't involve themselves in the political process anymore. Just like racism, corruption in American politics is solved.

That was just where the biggest bonus was at the time.

Are you still doing psyops? How do we know we can trust you!?

Exactly. None of this is new. People who think the world is getting worse just don't know how bad the world used to be.

marijuana used to be legal. Surely it must have unleashed a maelstrom of anarchy and chaos when we didn't put people in prison for durg use.

Alcohol used to be illegal. See how that worked out. The answer isn't always "the monied interests". They can make a buck either way.
