I'm sorry but JJ Abrams created Fringe. That redeems for any crap he produces no matter how beloved the franchise.

BU, ease up. Your tightassedness gets tiring. Especially when I should have been to bed a long time ago.

I loved the way the cast in the Star Trek reboot nailed the mannerisms of the original cast.

                Indiana Jones IV was cool

In other words, **** you all

As much as I expect the new SW to suck donkey balls, the dialogue can't possibly be any worse than the dreck Lucas wrote.

Agreed. They were standard popcorn summer braindeath movies made with Star Trek flavouring.

One of the low points was young Kirk coming across Spock in an ice cave huddled over a fire. Having seen the glacial landscape Kirk travelled through, I wonderted what Spock was using for combustible materials- a tree or two he happened to find in his pocket ?

And then he says there's a starbase nearby.

SO WHY ON EARTH IS HE IN A CAVE HEATING HIS UNDERPANTS ON SOME MAGICALLY AVAILABLE KINDLING THEN ????!!!!?????

The new Treks are just sci-fi action flicks with the trappings of Trek.
Essentially the first one was rather like a cartoon for adolescents.

Re: Star Wars. Can't stand it, not even the original three. So don't care.

it wouldn't be star trek without some kind of lame time travel plot device
