Christians today mostly don't weight how much he talked about love and mercy and charity and forgiveness nearly heavily enough.

We need God's mercy and we need to humble ourselves beyond what we think is possible. We need to pray for humility and praise God in the valley. It's a journey.

If you read the old testament, one of the primary reasons (right up there with worshiping other gods) for God to be upset at Israel were because the rich did not help the poor (and stranger and slave and so on).

I have been following this Nigeria thing, apparently girls in all of that area are kept from education. I think in this case the government should be involved (They have not been, even knowing about it hours ahead of time and doing nothing. That makes this partly responsible I Think, and if I Was a Nigerian I would get another government).
