Lots of people care about the girls in Nigeria. Some of us just realize that there's not any practical options open to us to help with this and the millions of other cases of horrible **** that happen to people around the world every year though, beyond raising awareness to try and put pressure on our own politicians who in turn can put pressure on the governments in question.

There's a lot that can be done to stop the persecution of christians and others who don't follow radical islam. For example, there is a christian preacher in Iran, imprisoned because of his faith. Obama didn't even try to negotiate for his release but the sanctions were lifted on Iran.

Oh but, let's make this about a war on little girls so that we can achieve our political agenda, why don't we?

                    • No, lets make it about a war on little girls because that's the topic, and it's awful.

Oh. OK. It's not a war on little girls. It's a war on all of us. Should we debate that?

I'm not entirely sure why the United States should give a **** about random Christians around the world. An argument could be made that it should give a **** about humans and consequently Christians insofar as they can be counted as humans.

I agree that cutting off education and advancement for anyone, not to mention kidnapping and rape, concerns us all, or should, and we probably should talk about that, but maybe not in here?

Christians obviously should care about other christians, right? Yes we care about other human beings as well, but I would think most christians would agree that abandoning other christians is a worse sin.

So with that in mind many christians voted for Obama, and he in fact claims to be a christian.

It just naturally makes sense politically on the domestic as well as international level. Why he doesn't give two ****s about christians being persecuted I don't know.

                                a) America is not a Christian nation
                                b) You need to read your bible again, what you just said was basically the opposite of what it says.
