Feel free to disagree with the actual REAL PEOPLE prosecutors... In the REAL CASE on the subject.Originally posted by Kidicious View PostI did my research. Minors can not give consent. Consent is not the reason. A woman took sperm out of a condom and impregnated herself with it and the man was order to pay child support.
They STATED that consent was the reason. Does your type of research involve actual reading?
Unlike you, I'm not making up what people got quoted on. Feel free to re-read the story I posted. And feel free to look at other sources on the real story.
They all provide the exact quotes from REAL PEOPLE who are REAL LAWYERS involved in a REAL CASE.

Real news sites don't just cut and paste and post stories about fake people and fake cases without background checks... try again.
Maybe in the made up story that offers no proof... But in the real story, the state says it's an issue of consent. Learn to read.
Oh... and you can read the story on multiple legitimate news sites... and the stories all attribute the actual prosecutors (real people that do exist) that talk about a real case.
BIG DIFFERENCE.
You either are stupid for believing everything you read on the internet without doing your own research, or you are a liar.
I'm sure the posters at Poly can make up their own minds on which you are.

Obviously they just need to go to Germany where the age of consent is 14 and then it will be consensual.Originally posted by Ben Kenobi View PostMost normal people would see statutory rape as a crime.
Yeah, and? It's not. It's statutory rape. Most normal people understand how the law actually works. Under 16, can't consent. I have my facts straight. You're the one who stated that you believe that sex between a 15 and a 34 year old can be consensual.

I find it telling that certain folks are willing to give Ming a pass here. What is it about Christianity that makes people liars?

So why should it make a difference in this case? If the kid is not responsible for the child, then he shouldn't be responsible for child support for someone 20+ years older than him!! Reverse it and you'd agree with the girl having an abortion. And a 34 with a 15 year old, I'll never think is OK.

I'm more curious about the basis for the differing legal theories behind the two actions. If the State pursued and received a conviction of statutory rape due to its in ability to recognize the legitimacy of any consent a minor might give in this situation, under what basis does it then turn around and pursue someone the State argued was a victim because they've now decided that he can give consent?Originally posted by 100% Wolf View PostIf a 15-year-old boy gets a 15-year-old girl pregnant is he liable for child support?

You seem to be wrong about everything. The source is an entertainment magazine.Originally posted by Ming View PostAnd it didn't say he gave consent either... but then again, I didn't post a made up story.
I at least looked into it and posted a real story, and not some fiction making the rounds on the anti feminist sites...
I don't believe everything I read on the internet without looking for supporting documentation.
IN THE REAL STORY that actually happened, they were quite clear that the reason the state was going for child support was the issue of consent.
That wasn't the issue in the fantasy land piece.
And I repeat BIG DIFFERENCE.
The reason the boy is liable is "strict sperm accountability" not consent. Minors can't give consent legally.
