    Look at the Civ series.

    Critics/Users

    Civ 3: 90/8.3
    Civ 4: 94/8.1
    Civ 5: 90/7.6

With every iteration of Civ, the user score goes down. I believe you can see this with many other sequels.
Anyone who rates Civ4 less than Civ3 needs to have something done to him that's worse than getting shot.

Well that's the precious user score.

Banished is not a sequel. So any specific behavior of sequels on metacritic is irrelevant.

        Again, thanks for trying.

          You are Ben 2.0

          Let's review.

Banished had a mediocre critic score. You pointed to its relatively high user score and said users are more accurate. You pointed to the low scores for BF4 and RTW2 as evidence for this.

I pointed out that user scores tend to deflate sequels to varying extents, explaining some of the depression of scores for BF4 and RTW2. I wouldn't point to the user scores for those games as evidence that users are somehow more accurate than critics since users have that tendency to be more critical of sequels.

          You try again.

Yes.......... but Banished's userscore is higher. So what does that have to do with bitter fans downvoting sequels because they are disappointed?

What you are arguing has nothing to do with this topic.

BF4 and RTW2 are bad games. The user vote on them is accurate. Banished is a good game. The user vote for that is accurate.

And speaking of sequels, here's a list of sequels that fans voted higher than the previous games.

            Half-life 9.1/Half-life 9.2/The Orange Box (HL2 DLC) 9.4 (get's better with age)

The Elder Scrolls Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim 8.9/8.0/8.1 (Morrowind is generally considered the best of the series)

            GTA Series 3/ViceCity/SA/IV 8.4/8.7/8.7/6.2 (a lot of people don't like GTA4's driving)

And the list goes on... When users downvote sequels, it's because there's a reason... not just because it's a sequel.

            So, try again.
To us, it is the BEAST.

All scores suck, especially those in cricket because who the hell understands anything of that game anyway?

                ****ing tornadoes, man.

Got my pop up to a little over 300 around year 35ish, and then, WHAMMO. **** got Wizard of Oz on me. Once again, it headed for my pasture lands, but I had learned from my previous mistakes and built extra pastures. So while I lost 20 head of cattle, 25 of sheep, and 66 chickens, and all the leather, wool, and food they produce, that was only half of my herd instead of the whole shebangabang.

Of course, it also tore through my wheat and bean fields, and my chestnut orchard, so my harvest was utter ****, to say nothing of all the farmers who died. After the tornado itself and the resulting starvation, my population dropped to 200. BUT, things have stabilized, and we are beginning to grow anew.

It was the only reason I had any interest in Playboy or Men Only. They use dto have excellent short stories by U K Le Guin and Philip Jose Farmer and the like.

The anatomy lessons didn't really grab me that much.

No- if you're like the perch and in denial you have to buy glossy magazines that celebrate the male body beautiful and muscular, but that don't chatter about below the belt business or show semi tumescent maleness.

You leave that sort of unspeakable unseemliness for your dreams.
