I've known quite a few women that considered themselves feminists and they were very reasonable.

In any group there are always a few bad apples that give them all a bad name. With men, there are more than a few.

No, I'm saying there are bad apples in both camps. But I do believe that there are more men that abuse women than extremist feminists. But the exact count doesn't really matter. I don't approve of either.

That's maybe not such a good idea as these radicals get plenty of light and water on university campuses and in other influential circles. Bringing them to light in broader society would actually be a good thing.

The only way you can criticise any feminist, no matter how radical or moderate, at a college campus, is in the context of defending feminism, saying that's not what feminism is about. Other than that only the radical feminists criticise the rest of them for not being radical enough, being under the control of men, or being prejudice against women of color. There are the conservative feminists, who will criticise the radicals but their influence is very minimal and they are few. Now if you're a male feminist you can't disagree with any women more radical than you, so they tend to either keep their mouth shut or be radical.

I mean this is a real problem. The radicals really do have a lot of influence. This is why it's very difficult to get a gender studies program going at a college that doesn't require teachers and students to adhere to feminist dogma.

Now extend that culture to the larger society, which is what is happening, and that ia a problem. That is why everyone should be anti-feminist.

I really do think that it's better to believe that people are equal. That's the only way you can treat people equally. The whole reason for feminism in the first place is people didn't think women were equal in many ways. Some people still don't think they are, but individuals have to be treated as individuals. Any ideology that doesn't assume people are equal is going to fail. Feminists believe women are superior. I've listened to enough of them to know this is always true. Who is more likely to use physical violents is not the issue. Harm doesn't just come by physical violence when we operate within a society.

A lot of women thought they were superior to men throughout history but they couldn't exactly say so or do anything about it. A lot of men think women are superior and indeed there's some women who think men are superior. But I think people are underestimating how much power liberal women have these days and the priblem with that.
