It's a shame we didn't conquer Siberia and colonize it for its resources. Manifest Destiny
No point. China will be taking it all over within 10 years.

I laugh at the thought of you trying to learn Mandarin so you can communicate with your new overlords.

They already control most of the southern border. It's all but a formality at this point.

"Capitalism ho!"
My greatgrandfather was actually in the "Polar Bear" regiment that fought the Reds in 1917-8. Got some damned medal or another; there's a display about him in a veteran's museum back home in Michigan.
It's a shame we didn't stay in Russia longer during the civil war. Some chemical warfare vs stalinism is a pretty easy choice.
It's a shame they can't shove your ass into the handron collier. Some handrons flying through your ass with a speed of light is a pretty easy choice to enlighten hopeless mofos like you.
The degradation of mainstream American press coverage of Russia, a country still vital to US national security, has been under way for many years. If the recent tsunami of shamefully unprofessional and politically inflammatory articles in leading newspapers and magazines—particularly about the Sochi Olympics, Ukraine and, unfailingly, President Vladimir Putin—is an indication, this media malpractice is now pervasive and the new norm...
It's actually quite true. The Russians didn't defeat Napoleon's Grande Armee on their own- winter and typhus and dysentery killed more of his soldiers than Russian troops.
Also don't forget that at the Treaty of Tilsit, Russia became Napoleon's ally... that was after having been defeated by Napoleon, of course.
Oh, and Napoleon lost again and again to the British at sea, so there was no realistic prospect of him ever making these islands French speaking.
Funny history books you have in Russia....

Vive la liberte. Noor Inayat Khan, Dachau.
...patriotism is not enough. I must have no hatred or bitterness towards anyone. Edith Cavell, 1915
Read the book and you'll see the Comintern and Lenin did very much care about Afghanistan- as a way into British India. Or believe what you want to believe, which frankly seems to be just as xenophobic, contrary and ignorant as what you're (inaccurately) referring to as the history we believe- or know.
Two wrongs never did add up to one right.

Yeah, right. And Russians of course at the same time existed in some kind of parallel universe in a tropical paradise where diseases and winter didn't affect them.
And Napoleon surely never experienced logistical problems, diseases or harsh environment ever before. Egypt anyone?
But when it is your victory, damn, you are such a heroes - brilliant and brave. When it's our victory - bah, the Russians didn't win, it's frost typhus, martians, but not Russians. And this sh!t keeps going over and over again. All the time.

Oh great, another Molotov-Ribentrop bullsh!t.
Allies usually don't declare war on each other.

He had all the time and all of the Europe at his disposal. Sooner or later he would have a fleet good enough to bring Brits on their knees. That was a question of time.
But even if so, how the hell Brits could defeat Napoleon if he still had his 600 000 troops he has lost in Russia?
If his Grand Army was still there - there was no realistic prospect Brits or anyone else ever defeat him. Period.
So, Napoleon was defeated in Russia and by Russians.
