And yes, kids are awesome. My favorite thing about small children is how they say things that are completely bizarre, and yet ridiculously logical when you factor in their ignorance.
Those AT&T commercials display this perfectly.

    ACK!

Thanks, Guy. He did, in fact, drop that way; he was eight pounds at birth, then gained a pound a week for the next twelve weeks, then slowed to a crawl, and now he's finally just about stopped. He's developing just fine in terms of skills and intellect--see me not yammering on about all the stuff my boy can do?--he's just small in terms of weight.

Again, this is all about context, and I have never seen or examined your boy, nor do I know all the details of his medical history, but based on what you just said, I would probably just watch and wait.

Kids need to feast on your dreams to grow. The bigger your ambitions were before having kids, the bigger they will grow as your hope fades.

Actually if his weight is around the 50th percentile for his height then the main question is how tall are Mom and Dad?

5'2" and 6'0", respectively. Her whole family's short, mine is generally tall, together we're Mendel's pea plants.

He likes prunes. And raisins. A lot, and that's a good thing. Lots of fiber and such. But his mother still winces every time he asks for "poon razor."

And how skinny are you? Were you skinny as a kid?

Yes, that special time for daughters. Enjoy it.

I was lucky that my daughter was probably better than most, but it was still a trial.

I must have missed the part of being a teenager where you make life difficult for your parents. I had a job, I got good grades, and I never got in trouble. My parents weren't even strict. I basically did whatever I wanted.
