Why are you judging by appearances?

The reality is that when a woman needs help she usually has no ptoblem getting it. The person in The Good Samaritan is a man. This is where objective thinking has to come in.

        • (for younger readers) the above is prime example of the kind of misinterpretation kid used to specialise in when he was a marxist.

Are you high? Because this is unintelligible.

Also, there is the woman with the 'bleeding problem', unable to get any help, (Matthew 9:18-26) who touches Jesus's fringe of cloak to be healed. After the woman confesses that she was the one who touched the cloak, Jesus shows empathy for her. She had problem getting help.

Also, it appears you don't understand the Good Samaritan parable at all - the Levite and the Pharisee didn't avoid the guy because he was a guy, they avoided him because he was bloodied and to touch him would have made them unclean. The Samaritan didn't care and helped the guy.

            • Mmmm the person left for dead is a man not a woman. How is it a misinterpretation to say that Jesus is talking about men?

I don't give a damn if he was bleeding. Look the point is that men took the risk of travelling the highway, not women.

                • Do you have a source for your claim that the pharisees believed it was a sin to touch a bleeding man? Just saying I didn't know that.

It was to make unclean to touch a dead man. Someone who was all bloody may have been dead (Numbers 19:11).

Indeed, "it weighed more with them that he might be dead and defiling to the touch of those whose business was with holy things than that he might be alive and in need of care."[23]

So it wasn't a sin to touch a bleeding man. That's what I thought. So your interpretation depends on conjecture.

despite often quoting and referring to him, it's hard to believe that kid actually read, or at least read and understood, any of marx.
