Hydrogen peroxide has literally no antibiotic properties whatsoever. It isn't harmful to pour it on a wound, but it also does sweet ****-all to help.

What would you recommend? Rubbing alcohol? I assume the topical ointments are good for small cuts but not deep ones needing stitching. Thus the use of the word topical.

Alcohol is anti-bacterial at 70% concentration. Lower is not. Higher is not either. One needs to read the label to find the concentration level (and dilute if applicable). For a deep wound I would use Bacardi 151.

I was always under the impression that hydrogen peroxide was safe and good for cleaning wounds.
