I like the **** agrees pro lifers should be praised for murdering abortion doctors and burning down there clinics for standing up to the oppression of unborn children.

Or does this logic on work for things he agrees with for reasons?

What oppression by the Catholic Church is being resisted here? The thugs obviously aren't interested in being priests or in anything else Church related. If it is in the area of Abortion, attempting to attack and vandalize offices of the Kirchner government would seem to make more sense here. It would seem that the primary motivation of the thugs in this instance is anti-religious fervor and it is curious that you seek to defend them and their actions.

i agree that women should be more forceful in demanding their rights over their own bodies from their governments. however, the major obstacle to that in latin america is the catholic church.

i think that fighting oppressive forces is a legitimate means of fighting oppression. even though, i accept, of course, that non-violent means are both morally and practically superior.

Who do you think came off better in this incident? The pro-abortion movement as exemplified by these thugs or the Catholic Church? I'm not sure any hearts and minds were won to their banner here.

The Catholic Church isn't not running the country. It has its own views on social issues, but it isn't forcing anything on anyone - it is simply making its point, which is supposed to be ok in a democracy.

Using violent means against a group you disagree with where both of you have equal power over the direction of the country is quite simply wrong.

You might describe it as totalitarian.

Some women have 10 plus abortions. Outlawing this is oppression?

no offence irman, but i think you underestimate the power and pervasiveness of the catholic church in latin american societies.

Have massive amounts of influence does not justify violence when an organization exists in a democratic society.

It'd be like (albeit this would be self-defeating and no one would ever do this) justifying violence against the NRA for its power and pervasiveness in American policy on guns.
