I'm not a biology teacher. Maybe google "blood sugar" and learn how it affects the body.
Good god, are you claiming that the endothermicity of sucrose dissolution is important to human digestion?12-17-10 Mohamed Bouazizi NEVER FORGET

I'm not the one who invented this "sugar is bad" idea. I'm just stating that HFCS is worse than regular sugar, even if only marginallyTo us, it is the BEAST.

Originally posted by Sava View PostAside from being stupid and offensive. Obesity is a bad example because it too is not a choice. Nobody wakes up one day and says "I choose to be obese!"
There are largely genetic issues at play. In addition to that, the introduction of trans fats and high fructose corn syrup into the food supply caused a drastic increase. We're still at the early stages of fully understanding their effects on the human body. But those two substances basically tell the body to become fat, regardless of the amount that is consumed. Because of their prevalence in the food supply, most people develop weight issues as a result of them without knowing they were consuming such dangerous substances.
But then again, in the simpleton's mind, everything starts and ends with personal responsibility. So therefore, everyone is to blame for what happens to them.
It's a perfect ideology, really. Because the people that believe in such nonsense therefore are able to avoid all responsibility themselves for the problem... in the sense that the solution is political. And using the government to solve problems... well that's just WAH WAH FREEDOM THANKS OBAMA

It's an issue for putting on fat (and a lot of other things).
What is the body's reaction to a spike in blood sugar?(\__/)

This one was canon for a while. It was the result of science, which was subsequently overturned but not before screwing with the healthy diets of a lot of people.(\__/)

It's not the fat stored. It's the process that leads to the fat being stored. Or simply, it's the resistence iof the body to the assault of the pancreas. maybe.(\__/)
