This is the guy who had the 30ft long tapeworm from eating uncooked salmon. I actually remember seeing his show on tv back in the day but haven't seen it recently.

"The Frug" was a former seminary student and ordained Methodist minister. He was married with two kids. He died in 2004 of a heart attack.In 1997 seven men filed a civil lawsuit against Smith, charging him with sexual abuse. On a different note I can remember that show, The Frugal Gourmet, being extremely popular in the late 1980's and early 1990's among mothers who worked because all of his recipes could be made in 20 minutes or less and as the word "frugal" in the show name would imply they weren't expensive. I can remember my mom getting up early on Saturday mornings just to watch that show; she'd sit there with a pen and a notebook writing down ingredients and directions just so she could go shopping on the weekend and have everything ready during the week when she got off of work. Husbands and children would come home at the end of the day and all the wives would be cooking the same thing because they all saw it on that show that weekend.
