The doors closed and there were no buttons, just a key hole for residents or maintenance access. I thought I was trapped and that robot turrets were going to shoot me if I walked through the hall. I called my brother in law and he came to get me. Some lady walked in from outside and I saw how to get out. Then some homeless guy was eyeballing me. He probably thought, wtf is this crazy cracker doing.


And only one other time I freaked out... well two if you count the salvia divinorum episode where I ran into my parents bedroom screaming I AM A TREX RAWR RAWR RAWR! AND I WILL EAT YOU WITH MY T REX ARMS... and then I made little arms. I ran back into my room and slammed the door. We never spoke of the incident.

That was 2002ish.

Oh and the other time I was at my buddies place. They were playing magic the gathering. I think this was also a salvia divinorum episode. That stuff is fun and can give you trippy hallucinations. But the effect is short lived. So anyways, we smoked and I thought he was a chinese agent who was going to kidnap me and put me in a shipping container and send me to china.

Come to think of it, that was the plot of an episode of 24... which may have been the inspiration for that.

But just so any possible law enforcements are clear... I do not engage in the production of any substances. And if you can prove I have unreported income, well, then I deserve to get caught.

Thanks to the premium payment assistance under ACA, my highest monthly premium would be only $251, for the best quality plan with the most offered. With my health though, the lowest-cost one ($206 a month) under the Enhanced Silver 70 tier might suffice for me.

My income is pretty variable. I might have had some good years > KH, but I'm probably running a bit below him now. The nice thing for me is that the wife makes the same as I do. I will end up paying more in taxes thanks to the ACA, but I don't really consider myself to be rich (don't live in a mansion or have a chauffeur or any of that stuff). The big thing that KH is overlooking is that ACA will allow me to retire before Medicare eligibility and still have reasonably priced healthcare insurance. Before the ACA, health insurance was my biggest impediment to early retirement.

I'm not sure that's true (that there will be a substantial impact on your premia) - unless you have some chronic medical condition I'm not aware of.
