Pope Francis in those quotes does not show approval of homosexuailty, I guess that's what Ben wants to highlight. He says we show treat them well, but no where does he say homosexuality is not a sin.

I find it curious how trying to out someone is considered to be at all compassionate to gay people. I'm sorry, I just don't see it.

To be fair if I keep talking to Ben much longer, I'm going to end up on everyones ignore list too..

We are talking about the direct quote I posted in #828..

"A person once asked me, in a provocative manner, if I approved of homosexuality. I replied with another question: 'Tell me: when God looks at a gay person, does he endorse the existence of this person with love, or reject and condemn this person?' We must always consider the person … In life, God accompanies persons, and we must accompany them, starting from their situation."

There you go again. Gay people are not a monolithic block who all think the same. There were a number of prominent gay activists in the UK who went around outing famous people they knew were gay. Personally I find that pretty distasteful, but in your case I think you'd just be happier if you stopped torturing yourself with this inward-directed homophobia. You don't need to hate yourself anymore Ben, you can be yourself, it's ok.

You mean like the direct quotes from the pope that I posted on the previous page?

The only people who are that homophobic are people deeply frightened about their own sexuality. So Ben, when are you going to inevitably come out of the closet?
Post number 822, by decidedly not homophobic Kentonio.

Why does Imran know what I'm talking about and not you? Obviously you intend to be an ass as usual.
Because I know what Imran is referring to and what you are referring to. And the fact that the pope never actually said these things. Please show me your sources, what you are seeing that would have you believe that the Pope actually said these things.

I don't know why you struggle so much with this very simple concept.
