I make no bones about my moral support for [terrorist] organizations. - chegitz guevara
For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

Ha! We've brought Plato down to our level.
Okay Dashi, Couple of things...Opinions are just that Opinions. You might want to check your reading skills as well. I said that it has "the feel" of mission creep to it. Is it like Vietnam now? Of course not. I thought any fool could see that, but I guess not all can and it has to be spelled out for some. It is my fear that this will escalate like Vietnam did...originally no troops on the ground there either. Just in case you didn't know, Russia has delivered the P-800 Yakhont. What happens if the Syrians sink a ship or two that fires a cruise missile? Not saying that escalation will happen...just that it has the same feel to it that Vietnam did before the Gulf of Tonkin. The parallels to Iraq are not as strong in my mind...we were overt about regime change and had massed troops on their boarder...not the case in Syria.
Your feelings are irrelevant. Any war could escalate to be like Vietnam. That doesn't make every war Vietnam.
The fact remains is that the only thing you care about here is making attacks on Obama.

Hmm, I wonder what I was going to type there.“As a lifelong member of the Columbia Business School community, I adhere to the principles of truth, integrity, and respect. I will not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do.â€

You idiot. I actually support what Obama is trying to do. Just because I see peril in it doesn't mean that it is not the best available option. You really don't read things, do you? Just assume and post. How sad."I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you're not patriotic. Plato:
Yes, you support something that makes you frightened for the future of the country it happens.
"This is not Iraq, this is Vietnam."
Yeah, your "opinion" of this is supportive.
The most irritating thing about talking to stupid conservatives is after you've inevitably proven them wrong, they come back to say that that was never what they said to begin with. It's the insult to my intelligence that you think I can't read your old posts that is truly galling.“As a lifelong member of the Columbia Business School community, I adhere to the principles of truth, integrity, and respect. Fortunately, I can't insult something you didn't demonstrate here. Once again, you are looking at one sentence and not the entire context of what I have said...it multiple posts. If you truly have read my old posts then you know that I have been a proponent of taking action against Syria based on chemical weapons usage since the March attacks. The simple fact that I see no option in Syria as good, but think that the most appropriate action (given ALL the circumstances) is what the President is calling for seems to be beyond you.
What is truly galling is that your knee jerk reaction was simply to say "No credibility" and expect that to have some meaning when you have demonstrated neither a knowledge of what I have said or history itself. To say that this is not Iraq, this is Vietnam is obviously a way to say "Be Wary, we have started this way before" and the context of all my posts will support this meaning. What am I to interpret from your baseless remarks except that you in fact haven't read my old posts or the ones I have made in this thread?"I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you're not patriotic. We should stand up and say we are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration." - Hillary Clinton, 2003
