Not abnormal for those that live in Chicago.
You need to get out to the vanilla villages to find them. But admittedly they're starting to become an endangered species out here too.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

Nobody. In 50 years, the GOP will be taught to children as a failed party, just like the whigs.
Well...I'm not racist, but I guess I am old now and I am white. Definitely not frustrated virgin dorm-room guy.

I just believe in smaller government and am very pro business. Where am I supposed to go?

        That's the problem isn't it? =/

I agree. It could be something as simple as extremely low turnout at that polling station even though there is a large number of registered voters. It could be a mostly republican permanent population trying to dilute a transient democratic population. It could be older people trying to keep younger voices out of politics. The article doesn't really speak to the motivation...and that is really the crux of the matter I believe.

Maybe Ross Perot will found a party for us to join.

Maybe in the Chicago area. They're not going anywhere here.

Ross Perot's politics were nutty and certainly not pro-business, regardless of what he claimed. The guy opposed NAFTA for christ's sake.

It used be a given here. City Core Dem. Outlying area Rep. But it's the more moderate side of the party which has been getting disturbed by the more extreme aspects. Then to top it off with the Dems rigging the redistricting, they were able to exploit some of those small crack and have really changed things.

Some could say what the Dems have done here is almost as bad and would be considered voter suppression (if the repugs were the ones doing it)
But here it's just considered politics.

Chicago politics is an anomaly to the rest of the free world anyway. Who organized those damn communities anyway?
