    Long Time No See, Folks ...

    Everyone:

    Well, I finally purchased a new iMac ... and, as such, am seriously considering getting back into Civ since I now have a computer that's capable of playing the latest iteration of Side Meier's legendary game.

    But, before I go out and plunk down hard-earned money for Civ V and its expansions, I thought I'd drop by my old, old stomping grounds — Apolyton, among the first communities I joined when my Civ-related online activities brought me here in 2000 — and, by God, I cannot believe how many of the "old" names that I recognize are still around, posting and whatnot.

    Man, talk about a trip down memory lane ... ColdWizard, PLATO, The Mad Monk, Loinburger, Sava, MrFun and more! Sigh. I wonder if I hang around long enough, I'll see MtG, Imran Siddiqui and Markos as well?

    Well, gotta do some perusing. 'Twas great "meeting" ya'll again. Now all I have to do is buy and download Civ V and its expansions ... this new iMac of mine doesn't come with a CD drive! Apple says those things are so outdated ...

                      Oh, so you probably don't know...

                      The site was sold to a multinational commercial-industrial resource-driven service-oriented mega-conglomerate. But the new owner/owners/owner-like entities is/are great, and we've noticed no changes so far. Enjoy Coke!

                              LOL. Yeah, I've noticed quite a few changes in the old stomping grounds. It's been interesting to navigate the website, to say the least!

                              When I get the time, maybe I'll post some stories or links to stories like I used to. Man, I miss those discussions that those stories would, on occasion, generate. Especially the Atlantis and alternate timeline ones. ;-)
