I've been pulled over 4 times. Ticketed twice (speeding) given warnings twice (speeding, aggressive driving), never had my car or person searched. Then again, I'm white, I don't smoke weed and I don't try to front on cops.

Were you driving in Texas though? I drove in Texas once. Was pulled over for obeying traffic laws. Asked out of my car. And then the guy tried to search my vehicle (which I allowed without complaint). Thankfully in my case no body cavities were deemed necessary to search

The cops just get pissed off at a guy for insisting they obey the law and the constitution so they completely lie, fake a reaction from a drug dog (the handler verbally orders the dog to bark, it was caught on camera), and then ransack the guy's car all so they can "teach him a lesson". This is routine stuff out of cops; we see abuses like that over and over.

Officials are investigating an incident where a driver was told to lift her shirt, and pull her bra away from her chest.

This sort of stuff is routine and the only thing different in this case is that the whole thing was video taped. Notice how once again the cop claimed he was just looking for drugs but he decided to do it by demanding nubile young women take their bras off in public so he could "check for drugs".

I've never had my car searched, haven't gotten a ticket in years, did get away with a warning for going 10 over ~1 year ago, am white, and don't front. That said, police abuse is pretty god damned common and a major problem.

I would never consent to a search for any reason. That's just a fishing expedition even if there is nothing there to find. In the end it can only hurt you so why consent? Of course the cops know this and that's why they routinely lie and make **** up ("I smelled drugs") in order to search despite not having legal grounds.

Weed isn't strong enough for that kind of mental impairment.
