The interesting question here if the CIA station in the area didn't know the embassy was under attack as you claim is Where did Woods and Doherty come from?

    • Oh boy! Republicans are riled again.

Can we expect the screwing now?

      • We have a few scenarios:

        a) this guy is a terrorist, readily accessible, and the entirety of the US Government just wants to allow a readily accessible terrorist who kills Americans to continue living it up so we can devote more resources to drone strikes on shepherds in bum-**** Egypt (though not literally Egypt)

        b) they've been recording this guy's (and everyone elses') phone convos, texts, emails, colonoscopies, grade school report cards, what he was doing in his mother's womb ... and have determined that he's not actually of interest.

        c) Obama ... sleeper agent ... ISLAMIST ... second shooter ... faked moon landings.

Now, as likely as A and C might seem, I'd still put my money on B.

Post 378 leads me to the conclusion of A.

          • I can't see post numbers in the awesome mobile theme, and am unwilling to count, so I am going to assume post 378 is my own and you're just saying that because A is on top of the list and you didn't read any further

No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

              • That would explain why his conclusions seem confused.

That story quite clearly leads to the conclusion that we'd need more evidence to say they are behind the attacks. So more of a B. Knowing they are behind the attacks is integral to A.

                • The other thing that story suggests is we're far too willy-nilly about using military force. Only we already knew that.

                  "Maybe it was that guy"
"Well, we couldn't prove it in court."
"Sounds like enough of a reason to invade a country!"

And off we go to install a democracy in Florida after assassinating Zimmerman.
